My wife received her Black Belt in 2010 and wanted something to put her Certificate into. So, I made this simple frame. Nothing more than pieces of again white pine I had in the garage. Painted black and put together with dowel rods. This is definetly a weekend project. The best part is the added sections of Cocobolo on the top. It is by far my favorite exotic wood but just can’t afford to use it as much as I like. I tried to add simple woods with exotic woods. They seem to blend well.
I hope you like the frame

Very nice job. Achieving a blackbelt is a lot of hard work and your frame will display it proudly.
