Okay the story behind this was my son and I were fishing off a pier at the Pocomoke river in Snow Hill, Md
He caught this bass-approx 3lbs around 20” long. Biggest bass he’s ever caught. He wanted a frame to go with the picture. So, here lies the frame that I made for his catch. The bass is not carved but cut out of a piece of poplar that I had in the garage. The water that the fish is sitting on is just a piece of white pine-but they were separate pieces before I glued them together. The bottom frame section is a piece of Bloodwood. I apologize I could not find my before picture of the bass before it was painted. The paint job is all from me with some guidance from the Mrs. I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece because I think it turned out better than expected. Hope you enjoy!
