My very first attempt at making a chiar without any plans. It is made of 2×4’s purchased at the local lumber store. Just a practice chair and my first time carving out designs on the chair as well. Stained and then finished with laquer finish.

This is phenomenal. Love the colors and the flow. Could you talk a bit about how you shaped, sand, carved, and finished?

Looks good to not have used any plans. What did you use to fill the carving? I have been using colored epoxy to do similar inlays.
