This is the latest addition to my shop. I’ve been needing a router table for quite awhile and I looked around for one that would fit in my table saw extension, but finally decided to make my own.
It’s made out of 3/4” baltic birch plywood faced with some 1/8” hardboard. The router table insert is a piece of 3/8 inch plexiglass. While not my first choice, it will do until I can get a store bought one. The fence connects to my table saw fence and is box-like in shape. On one side of the bit opening, there is a place to store my pushtick and the other side allows for dust collection. The faces of the fence are adjustable and are also faced with 1/8” hardboard. I’m using a Craftsman 1 1/2 hp fixed base router that I bought for $10 at a lawn sale.
