Router Table

This is the latest addition to my shop. I’ve been needing a router table for quite awhile and I looked around for one that would fit in my table saw extension, but finally decided to make my own.

It’s made out of 3/4” baltic birch plywood faced with some 1/8” hardboard. The router table insert is a piece of 3/8 inch plexiglass. While not my first choice, it will do until I can get a store bought one. The fence connects to my table saw fence and is box-like in shape. On one side of the bit opening, there is a place to store my pushtick and the other side allows for dust collection. The faces of the fence are adjustable and are also faced with 1/8” hardboard. I’m using a Craftsman 1 1/2 hp fixed base router that I bought for $10 at a lawn sale.

Hmm…don’t know why the pics are blurry. At least you can still them pretty good.

Nice table and a good high fence! Take a look at router lift for your table. I bought a Woodpecker Quick Lift and I love it!. I made a few modification to make it work better for me, but I just love to do router jobs on it now….............Jim

When I click “Zoom Pictures” all I get are thumbnail sized images. Just to let you know, if you uploaded small images, they will blur out when they are enlarged.

I like the project, but I would like to see the images more clearly.

Nice table! I made one recently myself but it is not nearly as sophisticated! Well done!
