Been wanting to turn one of these for a while and recently a chance came long I took it. At work they were having a silent auction for charity and asked people to bring stuff in. I want to turn more of these it was sure fun. top is walnut I am sure of but the bottom I am unsure my closest guess is pecan. used a toothpick for the perch. had some steel rod for the hanger.

ps shavings from hand planes make great box stuffing.

Those sure are cute.

I really like these. My wife wood love to have several of them.

Great job. I’ve made a bunch myself and they are fun to make. I couldn’t make them fast enough for my family members.
