and beer for my rain-deer!!!!!!” I’ve been working on a lot of ornaments for the holiday season and this song by Toby Keith/Willie Nelson came to my mind when I had all these guys lined up. They looked like they were in a rowdy and happy mood! All my ornaments are different from each other, but I am hoping they make people smile, and reach for their wallets! Thank’s for looking!

Mike, nice work. Been giving Santa a little try myself. Still a beginner.

What wood do you use for the Santa’s? I’m just using 2×4 fir.

Thanks all! Bill, these are all from basswood. I carve pine every now and then, just to see if I like it any better or if it has gotten any easier. Order yourself some 1×1 or 2×2 pieces from this place. Really good carving wood and really good people to deal with!

They are wonderful Mike. They each have their own characteristics and personalities. I like them all, but if I had to choose, it would be the second from left.

I have just started carving and have been looking a little closer at the carvings here, studying your past
carvings, I can see your progress and ability showing, I will never reach your level, but you have encouraged
me to have fun trying to learn how to carve. Thank you for sharing. Your carving are great and your
wooden ladies are beautiful.
