Custom Kitchen Island

Project by capsfan posted 641 days ago 400 views 2 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is one from the day job.
It is paint grade but it turned out really well. Deffinately one of my favorites.
The open areas are for an electric range and a warming drawer.
It’s mostly birch plywood and maple hardwood. The sides between the bottom shelf and the casework are mdf (it sucks but that’s what the boss wanted to use). I didn’t get to see it all finish painted with the marble top installed but I was told the homeowner was very pleased.

That is a nice island. It would be a compliment to anyone’s kitchen decor. The turned legs (I assume) add a nice detail to the piece and break up the lines.

Nice piece.

One very nice looking island. I would bet the marble top complimented it well.

That looks great! That would take up my whole kitchen.

I’m sure the homeowner was pleased, I know I would be if that was in my kitchen.

Great job! Love it.

I Love this island! Well executed, perfectly proportioned. I think I might build one similar for my kitchen. Quite sharp!

Thats a great design. Their kitchen is a lot bigger than mine. A stool get in the way in our kitchen.
