this was my first piece of furniture that i designed and made myself, the main carcass is made of ash with a solvent based black stain. the top, draw front and magazine rack are made from spalted beech, thats the basics. any question just ask :)

Massively thick top , kind of like Texas Toast : )
I really like the way the dark framework brings out all of the figure in the top , drawer front and shelf : )

I very much like your choices for both color and wood selection. This entire piece is nice. I do think the drawer front height is a bit too long. At least in the picture angle. I do like the way the shelf, drawer and top all tie together. Overall it’s great. And I like the beefy look of the top.

The color and texture are great. The sturdy appearance is a plus. Nice project.
