Here are a few Christmas gifts I got done earlier this summer. The trays and boxes with the inlays are from plans in Woodsmith magazine. The plain box is of my own design. Most are made out of mahogany, with the tray handles being maple.

The maple inlay on the sculptured box covered an error I made. It looks better than the one I didn’t mess up on. Thanks for looking.

Found them both. The box was from Vol 33 #194. And the trays were from Vol 33 #196.

Funny, I just bought some mahagony and maple yesterday to make the exact same tray! They all look great!

I made some of those same boxes. Made a mistake on one of them and it came out better too. Haven’t made the trays yet

Nice work. I looked at those trays too. They were interesting. You did a great job on both.

Great looking stuff! I just made the box a few weeks ago, I love the design! Nice looking lid veneer, really makes the box pop. Good job on the inlay. That’s not a mistake, it’s a feature!

These boxes and trays are very nice. The trays are very unusual to me. Nice work.
