I made these planes to give to the kiddies at our annual Labor Day pig pickin. I supplied the washable paints and planes, the kids supplied the mess. They had a blast, and it kept them busy for about 5 minutes and 37 seconds.

I used/slightly modified the plan found here They are built mostly from dimensional pine. A dowel rod and some purchased wheels is all it takes for the landing gear. It was a pretty easy but satisfying project. Especially when you see the kids playing with a well built toy.

It looks like you’ve built a whole air force. The kids will love them. Nice going.

G’Day Rooster,
You have certainly done a fine job on making that fleet of planes and even through the painting may have only taken a short time, the fun, play & imagination will last for years, well done.
