This attempt at Abo. painting will not get me into their panting academy but it has kept me busy while recouping from the knee op. For those who are confused pic 1 is a kangaroo 2 is a goanna 3 an emu. pic 4 represents
fire that is part of their culture, don’t ask what the rings represent as it was just one of those things to hide some rough work on the surface. Thanks for looking, next week I shall be able to get back on the lathe and head of on another path. Late news, this has just been sold.

G’day, Mate,
Very cool Bob. When I read the E mail and you said it was Abo painting, I was expecting a lot of dots. We purchase an Aboriginal art painting in the Outback and the lady sat under a tree with her legs crossed and painted for hours. It was is in a lot of white dots with symbols for water holes and men and women and animals.
Yous has a lot of symbolism and should sell well!............Jim

Wow, cutting loose here Bob, what a great piece of indeginous art, you certainly haven’t been letting that rehab interefer with your work, beautie mate. Funny I am also playing with another bit of our own Maori symbols at present, plus barbed wire and old fence posts, Gez I hate being retired LOL
catch ya Mate :))

Hey Jim, I am a whitefella and haven’t got the time to sit under Mulga Trees doing dots with Taubman’s paint.
I like to get it done and move on to the next project. Hey Pat, do you still have X’mas over there, thought “you know who” would have changed that by now. Sam, I can always make a better one to keep. Pete, your new project sounds a bit different, interesting to see the finish.
