i just finished this twisted vine walking cane … i stained it with cherry mohawk stain i capped the ends of the handle with legal obtained antique ivory from museum and private collections which meet strict legal requirements set forth by the U.S. Government ..i don’t need a cane for walking yet but if i did this one would be great … i haven’t decided what to do with it yet keep it , display it , of ebay it (lol)... i have more twisted vines and sticks to make more … thanks for looking !!!!

I agree with you that I am not ready for a cane- yet. But as far as the woodworking is concerned this is a nice piece. The ivory and stain compliment each other well.

Ebay might be a good idea. You never can tell what you are going to get with some auctions. I posted a comment earlier today about a Lie-Nielsen dovetail saw that I was watching recently. The saw auctioned out at more than what you could get a new one for directly from Lie-Nielsen.

Ask Mark DeCou about canes, since he has made several walking sticks. He might have some good ideas about selling them.

nice cane. it is obvious you spent many hours on this project. when you make some more be sure and post them.
