First off, a big “Thank-you” to Deeman, who shared these plans with anyone on Lumberjocks who requested them.
I had to make this project for a friend of mine who lives and works with me in Southern California & who is a complete fishing Nut! He recently returned from an 8 day fishing trip with roughly 1000 pounds of Yellow Tail and Mahi Mahi. He always brings over a bunch of it for Blondie and I and will never take any money.
I changed up the plans some as when I made the size according to plans the toilet paper was to tight & rubbed against the dowels. I used Blue oak and Hard maple and Black Walnut trying to give it some contrast. This was a great filler project during some other things I’m working on.
I’m in the middle of building and outdoor dining table and have welded up the base. I was thinking of do a blog but wasn’t sure about posting the first phase as it was all metal and would hate to upset the “Wood Gods!!!” LOL
All comments are welcome as always, and thx to everyone.

Hi Ken;
Nice paper holder.
I would be interested in seeing your table base, in spite of the lack of wood. It is part of the overall project.

That is such a cool idea, I bet a paper towel holder would work for that design too. Great choice of wood too.

Something that would be perfect in a boat head or a lake cabin head.
Where’s this one going to spend its life?

Ken!
What a GIFT for such a fisherman!
1,000 lbs of choice fish!! I can’t imagine that much fish caught on a personal fishing outing!
A Beautiful gift... I’m sure he WILL appreciate it very much!
Looks REALLY COOL!
It will generate several comments, I’m sure!
Thank you!
