Modular corner desk made for my 12 year old son. Sapele and Wenge finished with teak oil. The desktop was made from one long slab. There is a light under the center section of the hutch behind the apron.

nice design. nice colors on the wood. Love the pics. Great job. (if you don’t mind, I may “borrow” some design aspects…) Thanks for sharing,

That is a attractive, unique design. Love the wood and all the storage options. Looks like the perfect desk to me. I’m curious about one thing. On the right hand drawers you have one facing the user and two on the outside? I was wondering about the purpose. Thanks,

The drawers were not designed for any specific purpose. My thoughts on the drawers were that the interior would be (a little) larger if they faced outward. But, I wanted at least one facing inward because it would be much easier to access frequently.
I found that short (~8”) drawer slides are nearly impossible to find at reasonable prices, so I made my own from wood. They worked fine; after I put the teak oil on them they worked great!
