I made this exactly to specs in the plans. My gosh this thing is TOO heavy. Mounting on the wall took three people and massive anchors. It must weight 50 lbs in oak.

Made me smile to see this, building two of those right now out of cherry for my daughters.

Nice job, and yes it is heavy.

Todd,

I remember seeing this in Wood. I read the specs on this cabinet, and it sounded massive, and heavy….Stellar job on the build. I think one of my favorite woods is oak. I get more calls for oak projects from some customers than any other species of wood….It’s popular, I guess….Another place to hang your hat or coat…..:)

Thanks all! I built a second one for my son, but I left the bottom peg shelf off and made it flat. He has his on his desk like a wall unit and it’s much more practical like that.
