Hi Valdas,

Is there a story to go with the pictures? To me it looks like you are refurbishing a table, and what you have done looks interesting, but surely there is more to the story. What you have done looks interesting. I worked on an antique table for my sister-in-law several years ago that had a similar problem with the legs but did not go into anywhere near the detail that you did. Her father had tried to repair the legs for her long before that but he, not being a woodworker, simply drove nails and screws into the legs to shore up the broken tenons. Needless to say the job didn’t hold and he ruined any antique value the table originally had by with his repair job.

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Great job on the repair Valdas. A picture’s worth 1000 words. Are you refinishing that piece or leaving it as is?

nice way to reinforce it without wasting too much extra wood. Should look great when it is done

Post more pics of the finished work with some history and comments Valdas. We would love to see and read more about this piece. Thanks.
