Project Information

after years of…yeah hun, I'm gonna make you a table… I finally did…It is a piece of maple mdf plywood with the solid pieces of paduke surrounded by walnut cut into the plywood. the legs and aprons are all solid maple and the bench is also maple with storage. The other bench which is not pictured is a picnic table style bench with no back…the table was also layered in a bar glaze.

Very nice. I like the inserts in the contrasting wood. If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. She has to be happy.

Isn't she glad she waited. Perfect proportions and work.
I take it that it's light, but it sure looks good much darker in the first picture - an evening view, it'll look serene at dusk.
Love the butt joints.

I notice that it takes almost as long for you to post as it does to get to some projects. Great table and
bench, and with that finish on it the grandchildren can use it with no problems. I like the grand daughter's
desk also, I have a couple of great grandkids I might have to borrow that idea for. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Bluepine38, For a while I felt like my work wasn't Lumberjocks worthy with all the fantastic stuff on here and then I came to realise that there is no judgement here and we are all here to share to I had to get over my complexes…

Thanks for the compliments…I never know how people feel about copying there work…I think its awesome…and feel that this is what its all about..

You should definitely build the desk…it can be done in an afternoon but your grand kids will appreciate it for much longer.
