This is my first tool box & my first tool chest. The tool box was my second set of dovetails my first are on a little box somewhere at R.V.P. 1875. I don’t have much to say about my tool box other then its dovetailed on the bottom and the handle goe’s through the sidesand is pegged from the top the sides are just nailed on. The tool chest is somthing I made at R.V.P. 1875 for handful of tools I had at the time. It’s dovetailed at each corner and the skirt is dovetailed in the opposite direction but still nailed on. the top and bottom are grooved in. When I built the chest it didn’t have eny tills. When I was at an auction I bid on some tools and this box came with it. So I wondered what to do with it, so I tried to put it in my tool chest. But it was tool long by I think it was 3/4” to 1” inch too long. So I cut it down added some supports for it in the chest and it now I have a till. The till is made of plywood and spray painted silver. I don’t use plywood that often because I don’t like the way the end grain shows. (I Don’t use veneer, never learned how) It’s just nailed together. Well that’s all I can think of. hope you found it interesting. Love comments. Thanks for looking.
