I made this for a friend that lost a dear friend of 20 plus years. He recieved the hospital wrist bands from his ailing friend and wanted to make them a part of the memorial as well as his picture. Its a simple shadow box but Im sure it will be recieved with a tear of happiness as well as sadness. Its made from Birds Eye Maple and Wenge’. I used a semi gloss poly finish.
Thank you for looking.

Jim,
This was a very nice gesture on your part. The box displays excellent workmanship and the wenge and birdseye maple go well together. The wenge border adds a nice detail to the piece by breaking up the maple field.
Very nice piece.
Thanks for sharing.

That’s nice work Jim. I hope the memory of the friend never fades. The story and the work are both equally beautiful.
