My previous posting is the digital marking gauge with a blade.
The blade type marker makes the very sharp line but often the line is too deep
to clean up. In addition, the line often is not visible when the line goes along the grain.
So I guessed a pencil type marker may be a good choice for my project.
There is a dozen of salvaged aluminum bars (7×20 x 200 mm with some screw holes) as
a dead stock need to be utilized.
These are the motivations made me come up with this design of the pencil marker.
Purple heart and Ebony are the main block.
The locking knob position is adjusted with a small piece of wood so that I can
handle with single hand as shown in the photo.
Each end of the bar has a different type of pen holding mechanism.
Thank you for watching.

I love this design, I’ve never seen this kind of one-handed clamp knob before. I think that I will be making one of these very soon. Thanks for sharing.

That is a very nice tool that you have made.
