I like it, but I am puzzled why the reflections don’t match the mountain…..?

Another nice one William. Every time i see something like that I remember a fisherman silhouetted on Lake Lawrence in WA rowing past with the sunset reflecting on the glass smooth lake. I didn’t have my camera handy. One of those once in a lifetime shots and I wasn’t ready ;-((

Thank you all for your complements. I hope others caught my liking for “Serenity” over Solitude. I am sure Littlescope did. I see serene as a good thing, while solitude sometimes is not. In this portrait, there is nothing but good. I would love to be sitting in that chair looking over such a beautiful scene.
jbschutz, I understand what you mean, but resepctfully disagree. I have seen a few actual portraits where the reflection in water was an exact mirror image of what lie beyond it. That is an image that is created when water is so still that it is smooth as glass. While it looks absolutely amazing, it does not in my opinion look natural. Water usually has some movement. That is why I liked this portrait. It did not try to capture the amazing, but unnatural, visua of a smooth as glass body of water. With slight movement os water, and the angle of sunlight, images across water are often distorted.

It’s very nice and makes you relax just by looking.
