Project Information

I thought I would include a waterbed project since waterbeds are where we got our start over 35 years ago. This one is built using oak wood and has a bookcase headboard. The raised panel doors on the headboard slide to gain access to each compartment.

The pedestal under this one is a 9 1/4" high 6 drawer pedestal. This is the same style that I build for my regular platform beds.

We do not build a lot of these anymore but every once in a while we will have a special request. We actually stock most of the parts to get one together. Since they are far in between, if you'd ever need some assembly instructions, download them here. Waterbed Instructions

This one was built in February 2005. I found it in my picture archives.

For more building pictures see my Current Projects link at wwbeds.com or poggyskids.com.

Holey moley- I went to bed last night in 2011 and woke up this morning in the 1980's! I didn't think people still had waterbeds!

I have an uncle that sleeps in a waterbed every time he gets drunk and doesn't pee before turning in. His wife isn't a fan…

It has been slow. We don't really push them anymore. I do keep about 3 on display for those that may come in. We are thinking about taking those down and just keeping one to use the space for other furniture. We will still stock the accessories. Send me a link to your site when you get it up.
