Just a couple of classic twist pens.

I don’t know if I’ll turn another ebony pen again. It was probably the most finicky wood I’ve tried to put a finish on yet. So oily that the CA is very difficult to finish out to a nice even film. But I think the end result turned out well.

Very nice pen. I have several 2 foot sections of ebony that I want to turn but haven’t the time but hope to this winter. Keep in mind that Ebony is very temperature sensitive. Many people have had their Ebony pens crack because of expansion differences between the brass tube and the ebony. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I’m going to hold on to the ebony one. Too many complaints from other tuners that customers leave them in the car or somewhere similar and they end up cracking. If someone wants a black pen, I tell them acryllic is the better option.
