Front End Loader/Backhoe on Tracks

Here are some pictures of a Front End Loader/Backhoe that I designed a long time ago. This is the second model I created on tracks. This was an exercise in making the the tracks. I sat down and developed a couple of jigs and a process to produce a lot of duplicate parts. One week I Did nothing but make the tracks and I had enough pieces for 2 Loader models and a bulldozer. I still have a coil of track I take to shows to confound people.

This model is loosely based on a Massey-Ferguson crawler we once owned.

Yes, all the other part move as well. The bucket raises and dumps. The backhoe joints all move as well as the outriggers for the backhoe. I even built it so that I can take the backhoe off is I like…
