One day my wife said she needed a place to keep her sewing stuff. I thought about it for a while, and this is what I came up with. It’s a little box with dovetailed sides and grooved in top and bottom, and the try sits in a rabbited ledge. The lid wouldn’t close so I hade to put a rabbit on the top edge’s of the tray so the lid would fit down over it. I ran across the hardware at an auction I was at this spring. The handles I think a handforged, but i can’t tell. The stain I used was red mahogany, with a linseed finish. One coat a day for two weeks, once a week for a month, once a month for a year, once a year for the rest of its life. Thanks for checking out my projects hope it was fun.

the handles do look like they are hand forged, i wish i could be so lucky as to find some at a auction.
I do a little blacksmith work so i have made my own.

Great work and if you can keep the wife happy you have a double winner. Well done
