This was made to go with the chair i made and posted just a few mins ago http://lumberjocks.com/projects/54645 . Sapele Mahohany all round with Maple drawers. Pulling on the gold chain underneath makes the insert pop up and it can be used as a drafting table then. The sides are veneered oak and the right side is a removable panel which can be popped out using a special bar. This reveals space to hide a laptop or similar sized valuables. There are some rough edges to be smoothed out as it was made to a tight schedule but all in good time!Any and all comments/critiques welcome!

That is a beautiful table. The shaping of the legs and rails is great. What type of finish did you use?

Thanks for all the feedback, its good to know what other lumberjocks think of your work1bobosaurus i used 2 coats dark mahogany stain followed by 3 coats of base sprayed on topped off with 2 coats of lacquer sprayed on.

classic! and I think the choice for mahogany was spot on for this design
