Some playful sample turnings

The round box started out wanting to be a tooth pick holder. I had a post that went down to a small wood plate so you could lift the lid off and the toothpicks would fall to the outside so you could take one and push the lid back down and they would all fold in. Well, I didn’t do the measure twice and there was no way a toothpick would fit inside. I cut the post off and now it is a coin holder for my daughter.

The cup as a test to see if I could make one. I didn’t have much wood around at the time so I used my carving basswood. Won’t hold any liquid but a good learning experience.

Now to learn how to use my worksharp properly to keep the tools in good shape.

-- Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
