I know another blanket chest! This one has a little story to it since the wood was taken from an old cotton bin on my friends farm. The cotton bin was used about 50 years ago for storing cotton seed waiting to be planted. The bin has fallen to rot and weather over the years and my friend ask me to take some of the lumber and make something. I waited for a few years now and just felt the need to make a blanket chest.
Last year I made his wife a blanket rack out of some white oak that had fallen on the farm. I thought it would be nice to make a chest to store her mother’s and grandmother’s hand made blankets. She has quite a collection and now has a blanket chest and rack to store and display her collection! Hope you enjoy!
