I made this desk when my wife needed a place to work at home. It is made of Red Oak and is 78” x 27” x 27 1/2”. The cut outs were done on a scroll saw and are actually air vents for the computer. The faux drawers on the right are actually a door that opens up to reveal a slide out for easy access to the CPU. The drawers on the right are real and the lower one is a file drawer both with 100% slide outs. The columns were made on the Legacy 1200 Mill. The finish is polyurethane and after 3 years is still as nice as it was the day it was completed.

Very beautiful and smart space saving centerpart. Great work, and a excellent addition to the LJ forum :-)
