My wife found this cabinet online and was ready to purchase when I said, give me some time to try to build one like it. I used the measurements and got after it. With the generous help of a friend and his shop, I was able to learn a lot, truly enjoy a new hobby, and give my wife a wonderful birthday present, although it was almost a month late!!! I look forward to my next project, for my wife of course, as she already has something picked out…from Lumberjocks! My grandfather would be proud ;)

Nice, cabinet. Your black finish looks very nice. I am trying a black finish on a table and having some problems. What did you use to finish it?

Al,
I used a semi-gloss black paint. Came out nicely, needed two coats after I primed it though.
