This is nice project and a good way to use cutoffs.

Eric A great use for pieces that are too small but to good to hit the burn pile.

Not quite, Craft Supply USA makes an axle that you can buy for $3. It’s 3 pieces, 2 inserts that are mounted one in each half, and the axle that they string loops around. it’s really the best way to go. I tried a dowel, but there is too much friction.

Anything made from koa is great, but as a fan of yo-yo’s I have to say great job.
