Here’s a cutting board I recently did. The base is padauk, the top is 15 strips of (edge grain) cherry, and the handle is purpleheart. I know end grain is king when it comes to cutting boards but the only end grain here are the pegs.
The handle and bottom are finished in water-based polyurethane and the cherry is coated in mineral oil.
Size is about 12” x 24” and it’s heavy..
Thanks for looking.

Very nice, I’m stealing this design for a couple of Christmas gifts.

Great looking board and nice combination of woods .
I only have a concern about the different finishes and hope it doesn’t warp.

End grain is king, so try to only cut peas in half over the plugs and then you will never have a mark on this nice board.
That rounded over relief cut at the handle end is a very nice touch indeed. I’ll steal that one if you don’t mind.
