Purple heart humidor, lined with spanish cedar. Used maple flooring scraps and purple heart pallet cauls for the top and case, inlayed some ebony to outline the top. Center divider is snug fit to be adjustable. Top monogram inlay was cut on a laser engraver, love how precise that thing is. Only wood I bought was a piece of spanish cedar. Wish I would have had a wide enough piece for the monogram, not crazy about the line in the center. The purple heart has some curl to it, but each time i ran it through the drum sander a dark spot started to come up more and more. Brass hinges were a pain to put in, first time I used them, may be the last, the deep mortise was tough, anyone have any easy tips? Finished with lacquer, used glossy, it seemed to bring out the curl more but I think I need to try some grain filler to use glossy. Made it for a friends birth day, I think he will like it.

This is a very awesome wood combo in this humidor. Very beautiful. Super nice inlay on the lid. Lotsa other gr8 details and design.
