Most of these are from a small log of old juniper I got from a friend. I never really knew what I wanted to do with it because I mostly make jewelry but I was struck with an idea and so I sliced it up and made some card holders with it. I had not oiled them yet when I took these pictures and have yet to take proper images so they actually have a bit better color than it appears here. I’m inclined to keep the one in the last photo for me. haha. I just love it.

What did you use to get the slit in the top?

Thanks! I used the miter saw they are sitting on to do the slit. I dont have much equipment besides that. Its rather EXTREMELY dangerous so I wouldnt recommend doing that unless you are steady of hand and courage. haha.
