Here are the completed dining chairs. I made 6 side chairs and two armchairs to handle large gatherings. All tenons are pegged, and the lower cross rail has through tenons for added strength. The front legs are laminated for quartersawn grain on all four sides. Chamfers were formed with an oscillating belt sander. Wood is QSWO, and seating is leather. See Mission Dining Blogs #1-3 for construction and upholstery details. The design is my own, and it was inspired by Rodel, Stickley, and Roycraft styles. Free plans are available at Google Sketchup by searching Willie Sandry Designs.
Cheers

Completely Classic, great looking chairs done with attention to detail and stylish flair. I have some old government furniture that has the same quality construction methods and they are all still like new, no rickets, these should be around for many, many years, thanks for sharing

Nice! I’m sure that there was a lot of time cutting and fitting. Thanks for sharing!

I have always like Willie Sandry Designs, and there is one particular design that he has which is the Caden’s Desk. It looks simple and sleek, but I like the two drawers, which gives me ample storage for my notes and pens. There is also another item that I also liked which is the nightstand corbels, which three drawers. I had the nightstand made, but instead of three drawers, I had it four to give me ample storage for my personal effects.
