Last summer I got a hit on my blog from a woman in Hawai’i. She was looking for a memento for a nurse that worked 40 years for the department of health.

After haggling over price, and about 4 hours of work, this was the end result.

This is a nice looking bowl and plaque. The wood is gorgeous.

Thanks for the post.

I’m sure she loved it. It’s beautiful wood.

Great turning , I love Koa. I have a guitar made of it koa so I know how great the figure can be. The only problem I have is its hard to get near me. But I can always order it. Awesome job. Thanks for sharing it.

Outstanding figure in that bowl and the plaque is wonderful too !!! At what point was the price agreed upon ? Did you have the bowl turned already for another project or did she just trust you to make it all happen , sight unseen ?
