Good Evening LJ’s,
This is a project that was completed as a gift for my friend Annie and I am Dedicating it In memory of her Dad Which we lost this August. The chest is made of Red Oak, The panels are Painted 1/2” MDF And the chest is Lined with 1/2” Aromatic cedar backing up the 1/2” MDF I decided to mix Media, Old school and New School Traditional and modern Materials results spectacular (IMHO) I hope you Like it

Ditto on Jim and Harold.
I don’t see rabbeted/tongue and groove joints in the corners that much in chests, any reason you chose that type of joint? Were you working with old flooring that came that way? I’m just curious. I like that it is different.

By the look of it, you were leaning on the understanding of a Master carpenter to produce this beauty.
We’re all curious about the corner joints, brother.

Superb as usual! The joints remind me of cabinet doors. Nice touch.
