After taking a break for the summer I revved back up finishing this guy in just under 5 days. The sides were about a half inch too short and the back was just wide enough.

sweet sounding little instrument.

Great looking uke and what a gorgeous piece of maple.

WHat do you mean by ‘the sides were half an inch too short? And/or, how did you deal with that?

The sides don’t meet at the heel of the neck, I had to put a piece of maple in to bridge the gap. luckily I can hide the patch behind the neck joint.
