these are a couple of pen holders i made for some wonderful friends who came to visit last week, these pen holders are ones i was shown by lumber jock RJ, he was kind enough to share the plans he made of these pen holders, and ive made a few here and there, these are made of walnut and red cedar and the sides are made of blood wood, they are hinged with a solid brass pin that goes all the way through, and they are finished with a heavy coat of BLO, ive made a jig so im able to make a lot of these parts with my router, there fun to make a they are a good gift to give to others, i want to thank RJ for sharing his plans and the hard work he did to come up with a re design of these, i hope you enjoy them and i thank you for taking the time to look. grizzman

You could adapt them to hold spectacles… or just about anything… nice…

Look good Grizz. Does 1/2 the pen slide down out of view?

yea goose i had actually though of that some time back, and i think im going to adapt this design to do just that, instead of your glasses being out in the open, that could be protected by a nice box like these…great minds think a like buddy…lol…...

These look great.

Would you (or JR/RJ) be kind enough to share the plans? I make a lot of pens and would love to add some nice boxes to my offerings.

I would also love to see pictures of the jigs you made for these.

Thanks

Tim

hey there tim, as of right now i dont think i should share the plans as rj shared them with me and asked me to keep the plans confidential…i hope you understand, i dont want to go back on my word to him, however i might show you the jig i made, but i cant share the plans, i promised i would not do that…but if you really look at these, i think you can figure out a plan, thanks for asking though…grizz

Just last night a fellow woodworker showed me a few very simple and basic pen holders he made. These are far nicer. Nice job Grizz.
