Wanted a coffee table to match the entertainment center I built. Since the temperature here finally dropped below 100 F I went back into the garage and this is what happened to the maple I had out there.

Mortise and tenon joinery, bread board ends, first time ever trying to tun something on a lathe. Finished with Watco Danish oil in dark walnut to match the other piece. All in all I’m happy with it.

You should be a happy! camper. I bet It looks a lot better In person. your clock rocks! the flame wood rules!

Yes it does look better than my phone camera makes it look. I took a lot of time and care matching up the grain for the glued up top. I also attached it with table top cleats to allow for expansion.

You should be proud of your first time turning legs. Those are awesome, I must say, as a one-time coffee table builder, myself.
