Well this thing is coming along and seems to work like it’s supposed to. A few things left then it is time to sand the crap out of this thing and get it finished. There is a picture of the patch job that I am not fond of at all. Couldn’t match any of these grains with any of the oak that I had left. Really disappointing considering all of the work that this thing has taken. But when the mattress is on this you should only see about 4” of it. I will update these photos when I am all done and finished with it.

This is coming along nicely. The “patch” just adds another detail to the piece. Besides with the mattress in place on the futon it will “go unnoticed” for the most part.
The final product should be an interesting post.
