Working on these shelves and the mantel to connect them over the last two years… Each level is progressively deeper to hold books, baskets, etc… The lowest level has sliding doors; which aren’t installed on the left side yet.

I’ve always been a big fan of painted thick carcase construction for built-ins and yours is a beauty. Looks like clean crisp work from here, though if I took two years to build this at work I’d probably be fired. I guess the cat problem was more important! Your boss has been much more patient for sure. Nicely done.
