A Medicine Cabinet in Tiger Maple & Cherry. The interior features a single fixed shelf that is joined to the carcass by way of sliding dovetails. A simple yet extremely versatile blockplane is used to shape the edges of the top, bottom and shelf, chisels define the outline of the shelf to carcass joinery.(20×18x6 Linseed Oil)

I have to agree that this is a nice combination of wood and design. I have added it to my collection of “I might make that one day” ideas. Thanks

The design elements work very well here, broad wide and plain. I wouldn’t have thought the long overhang on the bottom would look so good but it does. Some very nice detail touches here, the shelf shaping, the dark back batten matching the handles, the curved door catch holder – a quietly impressive piece of work.
