My wife and I have been seeing a mid-wife at Ireland Army hospital. The doc is a LTC who just retired two months ago after serving for twenty years in the Army. Usually when someone retires they get a nice plaque or at the very least a coin. I asked our doc, who has been great, what she got. She said nothing, in fact you were the only one who thanked me for my service. I thought that was a dirty shame and decided to build this for her. I’ll give it to her tomorrow at our next appointment. I think she’ll like it. Better than nothing anyway. Thanks for looking.

You are the man. I am about to retire from the Navy and couldn’t imagine not getting something when I am done with my military service. The check will be nice, I’m sure. A small token of appreciation should be a given from the command she just left. Shame on them. Thank you for your contribution.

Great job and sad to hear that they forgot one of our Men and Women who served! I was going to say Women and men that served but it did not sound right, I’m sure this happens to often but you did a great thing.

Nicely done, both on the clock and remembering to honor one who served for so long. It sure ain’t easy.

Nice clock! I like two things- the idea of thanking her for her service and the rank insignia for the clockface.

Nice Clock !

Thanks for remembering those who serve!
I’m sure she will be proud of it.
