This is a custom ornament that I made from my craft show last Saturday. It is for a lady’s granddaughter who loves dogs. It measures 3 inches diameter. When my wife saw the letters on the template she said, ” that will be extremely difficult to make”. Well I see her do a lot of things and I would consider difficult. YES – I have never cut lettering like this however one cut at a time and it is done.

Thanks for looking.

You got that right.

I have trouble cutting thin material, anything under 3/8”, the saw seams to get away from me. That’s why I almost always stack cut. If I cut just one (because it is custom) it always takes me longer.

Nice piece. I’ll bet the granddaughter loved it.

As this piece is 1/8 inch thick and lots of tiny details cuts I put a backer 1/4 piece of scrap plywood on the back to protect the cuts. Worked very well.

Another fantastic piece. You’re inspiring me to cut something with tiny areas. I love the font you used and how you were able to “dot” the i. Clever design.
