I built this loft for my daughter’s bedroom in her apartment. The platform dimensions are 48” by 84” with head board and bookcase. The second picture shows the back side of the dual-sided headboard. It’s a bookcase headboard on the bed side and a medicine cabinet, makeup mirror, jewelry and trinket storage area on the other. A bookshelf and storage bins extend the full length of the mattress along wall. The top of the platform sits about 48” off the floor. The platform was made from construction grade 2 by 12 material sanded and shellacked. The shelving is made from 3/4” birch plywood. The ladder is 5/4 planed from 2 by 4’s and the hand hold brackets were fashioned from maple with ash dowels.
