As I was getting ready to spiff up these benches with some cleaning, sanding and a coat of boiled linseed oil, I thought I’d share them with you. They have served as seating, workbenches, tray tables, stools, table supports, and in-work project storage. I’ve made others as gifts and they have been really well received. I made them from 5/4 deck boards and exterior grade screws. They are 24” long by 16” wide by 17” high. They move easily; they are very stable; they stack nicely; they can support a heavy load; and they hold up well to the elements. I got paint on them a short time ago so I thought I’d give them a bit of attention before the Michigan winter sets in.
