This storage shelf, primarily intended for shoes, shown here with but a fraction of the shoes which now reside in it, was put together from the particle board material from my daughter’s falling apart captain’s bed. Since particle board is not meant to bear much load, I made more shelves more closely spaced so overloading is less likely. I also glued and nailed the back to each shelf. Still I’m sure a thick stack of books could do them in.

I like it and gets rid of the clutter/excess too!

Thank you, Tim.
My daughter loves it and her Grandmother has helped her fill it with shoes.
I like too that it is a useful purpose for the particle board material the bed was made from. I don’t like sending so much material to a landfill when an alternate use can be found.
