Rob, this is a really nice thought. This urn looks like it was a lot of fun both to turn and to give as well. I am sure your friend appreciates getting this. The box that comes with the ashes is usually pretty nice but it is nothing compared to this.
By the way, out of curiosity, what woods did you use?

The woods are oak, walnut and some English burl inlay for the top.
