How well do the candles burn? I was wondering if there was sufficient airflow around the candles to let them burn without sputtering, or is there a way for air to get in from the bottom? Or perhaps I’m just overthinking this…LOL!

you haven’t missed anything, there is no space for air to enter from the bottom. I don’t expect to light them, but thats an interesting point I’ll have to remember to check if someone else lights them.
OOH, WAIT… thats what the cracks in the back of the base are for!! yeah…yeah thats it—- they are air intake. I feel better knowing I don’t have to call them cracks! LMAO!
